Camping & Swimming Adventures!

Well, we are back from our first camping trip in our new tent trailer! We had an amazing time, despite the rain and cold weather! It was actually a nice change and the girls had an absolute blast! The first night was a little rough as the girls (and our dog Newman) adjusted to sleeping in their little bunk...let's just say it was pretty sleepless for all of us (mostly mommy!). The second night was so much better. We ended up folding down the little dining table and setting up Savannah's playpen earlier in the day for naptime and she did so well for nap that we decided to put her to bed there at night too. It was a much more restful night for all of us with Savannah in the playpen! Everything in the trailer worked great and we are just really happy with our purchase! The only thing we discovered when we got home was that the awning pouch was coming off the trailer (too much sun damage...destroyed the stitching). So, anyway, we had to remove the entire awning when we got home on Monday and that will have to be replaced at some point. The awning inside the pouch is in perfect condition, so we're hoping to figure out how to just replace the pouch (unfortunately, the awning is sewn into the pouch, so we'll see!).

We barely took any pictures on this trip...a few pics on the car ride up to the mountains and then a few pictures as we were packing up to go home. I know, that's pretty bad, but I promise to do better next time! We're hoping to go camping a few more times this summer/fall. Trevor would LOVE to go again this weekend and is trying to talk me into it, but I'd LOVE to have one more weekend to recover! Camping is FUN but a lot of WORK!

Okay, here are the few pics I did take on our camping trip, followed by some pics of the girls swimming yesterday in our pool! Oh, and the other family and kids in the pics are Trevor's sister and her family who went camping with us. Kenzie was hilarious and insisted on wearing her angel wings in the pool so she could "fly"! Oh, and I love the pics of our dog, Newman riding on the girls laps in the car! He was oh so nervous on the trip up there (we think he thought he was going to the vets office!). So funny! The girls loved it!
